Ask about attorney reviewA focused review of your document and the questions you want to work through.
A Pact attorney reviews one document you created in Pact Works, up to 15 pages, under a separate engagement with the firm. The firm confirms conflicts before you share details. You get written notes and a marked-up copy within 5 business days after the firm confirms conflicts. A revised version counts as a new review. Outside contracts and calls aren’t included. If the issue needs more than a review, we’ll tell you the fee before doing anything. On Counsel, one of these reviews is included each month.

A note from Katie.
For more than twenty years, I’ve watched business owners come to my firm with problems we know how to solve, and then hesitate at the cost of solving them one engagement at a time. Many of those problems are the same ones, over and over: the contract that needs a careful read, the contractor who never signed an agreement, the company records that fell behind.
I built Pact Works for those owners. It takes the processes and checklists we use for that common work and puts them in a form you can run yourself, at a price that makes sense for a growing business. The playbooks also point out when a question is worth a lawyer’s time.
Pact Works is sold by Pact Ops Inc. and doesn’t provide legal advice. Need a lawyer? Request help from Pact, the law firm, under a separate engagement.

Every playbook, including new ones as we add them. Each month you also get one document review and one question answered by a Pact attorney. Attorney work is provided by Pact, the law firm, under a separate engagement; the firm confirms conflicts before you share details. Unused reviews and questions don’t roll over.
- The review: the same $149 review described above, included once a month.
- The question: ask a business legal question in Pact Workspace and get a written answer from an attorney at Pact, the law firm, within 3 business days after the firm confirms conflicts. One follow-up to clarify the answer is included. Questions that need a document review or research beyond a short answer are quoted separately.
- Who it covers: matters governed by New York or federal law. If the firm can’t take a request because of a conflict or its scope, it doesn’t count against your month, and you can send another.
Counsel is a Pact Works plan with set monthly attorney benefits. It isn’t ongoing representation. For a general counsel relationship, Pact, the law firm, offers that under its own engagement.

Before you start.
Is Pact Works a law firm?
No. Pact Works is a self-service product sold by Pact Ops Inc. It provides tools and educational information, not legal advice. Attorney services are provided only by Pact, the law firm, through a separate engagement.
Does using Pact Works make me a client of the law firm?
No. Using the self-service tools does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship begins only when you sign a separate engagement letter with Pact, the law firm, for work beyond your subscription.
What happens when I need a lawyer?
Request help through your account. Pact, the law firm, confirms conflicts before you share details, then confirms scope and fees before any work begins.
